According to the U.S. Attorney General, Sporich's arrest in part of an ongoing initiative targeting Americans who travel abroad to have sex with children called "Operation Twisted Traveler."
Sporich, the so called "Pied Piper of Pedophiles," arrived in Los Angeles late Monday night escorted by U.S. authorities. He was arrested back in February by Cambodian police and is the first of the three suspects to be charged as an alleged "sex tourist."
Detectives say Sporich traveled to Cambodia and lured boys by driving around on a motorbike dropping $1 bills in Cambodian currency on the street.
Authorities say several boys stayed at Sporich's home in Cambodia, which had a swimming pool, water slide, video games, toys and clothing.
Sporich, along with Erik Peeters, 41; and Ronald "John" Boyajian, 59 were charged under the Protect Act, which became law in 2003 and makes it easier for U.S. authorities to prosecute people for overseas sex crimes.
In all, prosecutors believe Sporich has molested more than 500 boys since the 1960's.
Sedona police said seven sex offenders remain in the city.
"This is a good thing cause it's one less sex offender in our town," Commander Ron Wheeler said.
Jack Sporich is now expelled from Cambodia and is facing 30 years in prison in the United States, but only three years in Cambodia.
Sporich is expected to appear in federal court Monday.
Neighbors were disturbed by the latest charges.
"Casterate him. Leave him in jail. I mean he was one of the worst," Maureen Ehalt said.
"It's kind of a lock him up and throw away the key situation," another neighbor said.
