PRESCOTT, AZ -- Every Wednesday, music from the Prescott High School band reaches out to the town.

During practice they focus on the task at hand.

"We're gonna be marching," said drum major Clif Weston.

But not just in any parade.

"In the 2010 New Year’s day parade," Weston explained.

And not just in any place.

"Around Buckingham Palace and around London," he added.

That's right London, England.

The Pride of Prescott Band is led by Weston. He remembers the day the band found out.

"It was quiet and then, yeah, screaming all over the place. It was a great time and we've been looking forward to it ever since," Weston said.

"There was tears, there was laughter, there was jumping up and down, there was hugging, it was great," said Band Director Dan Bradstreet.

It all started when Bradstreet got a phone call, and then a visit from the Lord High Lieutenant of greater London.

"They heard the band play and then the jazz band play and they offered us an invitation," said Bradstreet.

"To be picked out of bands from all over the world is just amazing," said Weston.

But a trip like this costs money, and they are about $25,000 short.

"We're close, we're so close we can taste it," Bradstreet said.
