PRESCOTT, AZ -- The superintendent of the Prescott Unified School District has announced his departure.
Kevin Kapp has been with the district for 28 years as a teacher, assistant principal, human resources director and for the past eight years, district superintendent.
Kapp announced his retirement to district employees this past week, and publicly at Tuesday evening's PUSD Governing Board meeting.
Kapp's final day with the district is June 30, 2010.
Governing Board President Dr. Andy Newton said the board has not decided how it will conduct its search for a new superintendent.
