PRESCOTT, AZ – Authorities say officers caught and arrested a woman they say broke into a Prescott home
Police say 26-year-old Jennifer Guerra broke into a home near Gurley Street and Park Avenue and started loading food and alcohol from the refrigerator into a plastic bag.
According to reports, the homeowner heard a noise in the kitchen, discovered the suspect taking items from his refrigerator and asked, “Who are you and what are you doing?” The suspect replied, saying she was “tired and hungry.”
The woman then got up and left on foot, according to police.
A short time later, officers received a similar call near Gurley Street and Grove Avenue.
Officers noticed one of the people matched the description of the person who broke into the home near Gurley Street and Park Avenue and arrested Jennifer Guerra.
The victim of the earlier burglary and his wife positively identified Guerra.
Guerra was charged with one count of burglary and booked into the Camp Verde Jail.
