PAYSON, AZ -- A Payson High School student arrested Tuesday is facing several charges of threatening nine classmates.
The 16-year-old girl is accused of making three separate hit lists and for threatening messages that were written on the bathroom walls.
The first list was reportedly discovered early in September.
Police also arrested a 15-year-old boy in late September for making two lists of his own in what police called a copy-cat crime.
The girl is facing nine counts of threatening and a charge of aggravated criminal damage to the school.
Police say many of the people on the list were the girl’s own friends and there didn’t appear to be an obvious conflict she was having with those students.
