"I'm doing this for health purpose. I have issues with my left leg," he said.
Mularski has become a bit of a celebrity around his home course, the Payson Golf Club.
"Can I have your autograph," another golfer hollered as Tony walked by. He yelled back, "Five bucks."
He gained more notoriety last Wednesday, when Tony hit a hole in one on the 17th hole.
"He was playing terrible," his golfing partner, Don Gyde said. "So I knew something good was going to happen sooner or later."
With one shot from a seven iron, Tony's day improved.
"It came short of the green," another member of the foursome, Gary Vaplon said. "It bounced up on the green, rolled over, hit the pin and went in the hole."
"It was a nice hit," Gyde agreed.
But it wasn't anything new for Mularski.
"The shot was pretty nice ... dink," he explained.
It's was his SEVENTH yes SEVENTH hole in one. The first came in 1986, and then again two years later, then again and again.
"(Hole) #14 was my first in Payson, #2 was my second, and again, and #17 last Wednesday," Mularski recalled.
People around the club say Mularski's lucky streak is unlike anything they've seen.
"He's got my share, he's got all the ones I left out there," one golfer said.
Mularski's advice for hitting the ace, "Hit the ball and pray the gods are kind to you ... the gods of golf are kind to you."
