One motorcyclist was killed and a second was injured during an accident southwest of Payson Sunday afternoon.
It happened at about 2:20 p.m. on southbound SR 87 near Milepost 231.
Very few details were released about the accident other than the fact that involved two motorcycles.
The two victims were airlifted to a local hospital where one of them was pronounced dead. The condition of the second victim was not made available Sunday night.
Crews shut down one lane of the southbound SR 87 as DPS investigated the accident, but the roadway was completely reopened by 4:20 pm.
The names of the victims have not been released.
