Rich people are weird and they don't have common sense and no street sense. They are smart to make money. THATS IT. If these people wanted to cleansed spiritually they should have went to the Navajo Indians. I do feel sorry for the people that died and the family and friends that are left behind and the ones that are sick still.

This has nothing to do with 'being in top physical shape!' This has to do with pure greed and insulting the spirits of the land and beyond. These scam artists pissed off the spirits and they took their revenge upon the participants. This girl was just another pitiful sucker who thought money could buy you spirituality. Jamestown resurfaces again in Sedona. This type of gross disregard will happen again because stupid people don't have the common sense to listen. You could warn these new age 'coyote's in sheep's clothing' that they must stop, but they don't care in the first place. And now they will reap what they've sown...they ripped off others to the tune of $630,000 and will go bankrupt from being corrupt. Too bad these fools won't learn even after people paid with their lives, health and severe spiritual damage.

It seems to me these people were in a sweat sauna not partaking in a spiritual lodge. A lodge is prepared with prayers and the water pourer takes on the responsibility of making sure each and every person is receiving help in a good way. The 4 directions are honored with specific songs. Tunkasila(GOD) is honored and the only fee is the offer of tobacco and some prayer ties made of tobacco and cotton. When the spiritual part is left out and money is charged it is nothing more than a sweat sauna. I feel insulted for all Holy Men, and Pipe Carriers who pour water and hear reports on tv calling the plastic dome a sweat lodge. With out proper prayers and a qualified water pourer it was a death trap in the form of a sauna. I am saddened by the loss of innocent life. There are no short cuts to a proper sweat lodge, or it just isn't.

having alot of money will make even the healthiest person a target...this guru isn't silent because of saddness; he's trying to figure out how to hang on to the dead's money, even though... Sounds like it's time for his evil ways to be exposed.

As sure as WE were born WE are going to die. One day it will be OUR turn to travel death road. I think this is such a grrrreat way to go, serving and seeking a higher power. Some have lost their lives commiting adultery, saleing drugs, and much much worst. I personally don't believe in being in the wrong place at the wrong time, I believe all our lives were predestined, when it's our time.......it's just that our time!!!! So Lorida I say all that to say I have to disagree with you when you say it's a shame these people died seeking a higher power.

LOL Lorida, Sedona has always been this way. I grew up in the Verde Valley and Sedona has always been full of gypsies, whackos, and just plain strange people. Nothing new there other than they probably added a few more Vortexes because of growth of the population. I hate going there or even driving through. I feel for the family and do not know what happened but I am sure the host will not have any money left by the time the suits are over.

Its a shame these two hard working people had to die seeking their own higher spirit. Condolences to the families, I cannot imagine the grief they are having to go thru, and the questions as to why it happened? I wish you all comfort and solace and hope you all get the necessary answers soon.

I am not proud of the way Sedona has turned into an ugly cheap city tourist trap, its a village of gypsy wagons and tonic salesmen. It's disheartening to see all the commercial spiritual centers and store fronts hawking supposed 'amazing talents,' everyone competing for the "As Seen On TV" Oprah and Larry King shows, authors of books, tapes and sweat lodges run by charlatans for quick fortunes. Finding our way way back to God is the best spirit quest there is and we dont have to pay a dime. Actually, Sedona itself needs a mighty good cleansing, restored back to the way it was.
