GOLDEN VALLEY, AZ – Deputies with the Mohave County Sheriff's Office are requesting the help of the public in identifying the suspects in two robberies in the past week.
The first of the two robberies occurred on Wednesday around 11 p.m. at a convenience store in the 6700 block of Highway 68. The second robbery happened on Monday around 4 p.m. at the National Bank of Arizona located in the 4000 block of Highway 68.
In the first robbery, a suspect allegedly shot a convenience store clerk, 19-year-old Shahbir Singh, in the foot and left with an undisclosed amount of cash, officials say.
Singh was transported to the Kingman Regional Medical Center, and then later taken to the Sunrise Medical Center in Las Vegas for his injuries. He has since been released from the hospital.
The victim described the suspect as a male, approximately 5'05" to 5'08" in height, thin build, and weighing between 130 to 160 pounds. The suspect was wearing a ski mask with dark clothing at the time of the robbery, officials say.
According to authorities, the suspect left the scene in a black Ford Ranger pick-up truck, which police later found abandoned at Hoover Road and Burro Drive. The suspect had allegedly torched it before being picked up by a different vehicle, officials said.
Police discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen out of Golden Valley two days earlier.
The second robbery, which occurred on Monday, involved a single suspect who allegedly walked into the National Bank of Arizona while brandishing a firearm and left with an undisclosed amount of money.
No injuries were reported from this incident.
According to authorities, the suspect was seen leaving the area on Hope Road in a grey or silver colored vehicle described as an “import type” passenger vehicle with distinctive red rims.
The suspect was described as a white male of slender build, 5’08” in height, and brown hair. The suspect was wearing a camouflaged hat and face mask, long sleeve shirt, and black pants at the time of the robbery, officials said.
There is no word yet as to whether or not authorities believe these crimes to be linked.
The reward being offered for any information leading to the arrest of the suspect involved with the convenience store robbery has been raised to $2,500 dollars.
