these dogs were a problem before. no its not all pit bulls but most of the problems we see on the news lately involves either pits or rots. and before someone comes unglued on me i know an 11 year old rot that is the sweetest laziest animal i have ever met. my brother in law also has pits one of which is deaf and a sweetheart. i agree that animals need to be leashed but there is no reason to have an aggresive animal. i dont care if its locked up or not. there is always a chance that animal will get away and then you have problems. is it really worth it??? maybe next time it will be someone these dog owners care about. or the owners themselves. common sense goes a long way. to bad no one has it any more.

I have a pit bull. I grew up around cats so I was unsure about having a dog. He's good with kids and cats. Friendliest being you'll ever meet. Right now he's sacked out with kitty. He's scared of the monsoon and chihuahuas. If anything he's *too* friendly - he brings a bone to the mailman when (s)he comes to the door.

I hope the 3 recover soon. The dog owner needs to secure the aggresive dogs at all times. This whole ordeal could get costly for him. It's too bad the one was put down, but if it's a biter, it's for the better.

I care about pitbulls because they are ANIMALS. That's it. I would never own one because they were bred to be attack animals. It's in their GENES and it has been proven. I do feel sorry for them because of this but they should NEVER be allowed to be around children or other pets. This dogs owner might lose his home because of his dogs. The owners are smart as a rock and sharp as a marble.

I hope the parents of the boy that was bitten sue the socks off of the owners of these dogs. Anybody who owns a psychotic pit bull dog is equally psychotic or borderline retarded! We have one of these combinations on our street and fortunately, the dog is just a pup yet. I predict that within a year, this dog will attack a child going to or from school or another dog because the owners are not as bright as the dog! I'm going to hate to have to kill this dog,if he has a child down, because of his owners!

I hope that the parents of the boy that was bitten sue the socks off of the idiots that own these dogs. Anybody who owns a psychotic pit bull is a moron! My neighbors have a young one that still is a friendly pup but he has gotten out and was running loose in the neighborhood. Thank god he is still a pup. When he gets mature, he will be a serious threat to everybody on the street. I will venture a guess that this dog will attack either a child going to school or another animal within a year.

This story is so ironic ...I am a walker and everyday I am either chased by a loose dog, or the owner will allow the dog to sniff me for some reason...now I believe I didn't let my kids run loose or sniff strangers so why the HELL would you allow your dogs to run loose or let them sniff strangers..I don't like dogs that aren't controlled or leashed. But I realize I am not a city employee so therefore this is a non issue to them.
