BARTLETT LAKE, AZ -- A person suffered a gunshot wound to the leg in an incident at Bartlett Lake Sunday, according to officials.
Maricopa County Sheriff's Office Spokesperson Aaron Douglas said officials responded to a call about a shooting near Bartlett Lake at Rattlesnake Cove just after 7 p.m.
Douglas said the victim was shot in the leg, but was conscious and alert when transported to a local hospital.
The suspect was speaking with deputies, according to Douglas.
It is not known at this time what caused the incident, but officials are continuing to investigate.
