FORT MOHAVE, AZ – Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man who allegedly threatened to kill a relative with a firearm on Saturday night.

Anthony Edward Gutierrez, 20, of Fort Mohave, allegedly pointed a shotgun at his 16-year-old brother's head and threatened to kill him after an argument.

Authorities responded to a call around 5:03 p.m. regarding a weapons offense in the 4200 block of Los Maderos Drive.

Deputies reportedly made contact with the victim and learned that the conflict had started with an argument that had escalated to the point of Gutierrez brandishing the firearm an inch from his brother’s forehead.

The shotgun was confiscated and Gutierrez was arrested without further incident, officials say.

Gutierrez is being held at the Mohave County District II Substation and is facing felony charges of aggravated assault and disorderly conduct per domestic violence.
