KINGMAN, AZ – Deputies of the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Kingman resident on Saturday for allegedly attacking his girlfriend with a bottle and physically abusing her.
Deputies responded to call around 11:59 a.m. about a disturbance at a home in the 3000 block of E. Butler Avenue.
When they arrived on scene, authorities reportedly found Michael Douglas McIntosh Jr., 28, arguing in the hallway of the residence with another individual.
Once deputies separated the two individuals, they were able to question McIntosh about what had happened, officials say.
McIntosh reportedly told authorities he came home early in the morning and found his doors locked. After this he proceeded to kick in the back door of the residence, according to officials.
Deputies made contact with the 38-year-old victim, McIntosh’s girlfriend, who told officials that McIntosh had hit her in the head with a bottle shortly after he had kicked the door in.
The victim suffered a laceration almost an inch in size on her head and was treated at the scene, officials say.
Deputies also contacted a witness who corroborated the victim’s story and claimed that after McIntosh hit the victim with the bottle, he also hit her in the face with his hand. Authorities also took note that the back door jamb was split.
McIntosh was taken into custody and transported to Mohave County Jail. He now faces charges of aggravated assault and criminal damage per domestic violence.
