KINGMAN, AZ – Two men were arrested by Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies on Wednesday for drug related offenses.
Authorities said they detained Samuel Joshua Thomas Lemus, 20 and Anthony Nathanael Lemus, 18, both of Lake Havasu City, after conducting a traffic stop and discovering drugs inside their vehicle.
Deputies reportedly pulled over the vehicle that both suspects were in around the 1800 block of South Palo Verde.
Deputies reportedly discovered that Samuel Lemus was driving with a suspended license, and then asked the two to exit the vehicle.
Upon exiting the vehicle, authorities say that the odor of burnt marijuana was detected coming from Samuel Lemus.
Deputies reportedly conducted a search of the vehicle and found a bag containing two syringes filled with an unknown liquid, white crystal substance, several plastic bags and a digital scale.
According to authorities, a search of the trunk of the vehicle was performed and deputies found five separate bags of marijuana.
Both Samuel and Anthony Lemus were taken into custody and their vehicle was seized.
The face charges of possession of marijuana for sale, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Samuel Lemus will also be cited for driving with a suspended license.
