A Northern Arizona man has been arrested after being accused of inappropriately touching a 12-year-old girl last weekend.

Mohave County Sheriff's detectives arrested Philip T. Regan, 44, of Mohave Valley on Thursday for sexual abuse, a felony charge.

According to a Friday news release, deputies were contacted by the victim's mother early last Saturday who told them the girl had been inappropriately touched by Regan who is her daughter's friend's father and a friend of the family.

Investigators determined that the incident had occurred at Regan's home in the 3400 block of Boundary Cone.

He was taken into custody in Kingman at about 11:45 a.m. and booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident, according to the report.
