BULLHEAD CITY, AZ -- Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested a 38-year-old man who had reportedly escaped from a Colorado prison.

According to MCSO spokeswoman Patricia Carter, deputies were patrolling Davis Camp and checking park permits early Monday when they saw a male subject sleeping on the south beach.

Deputies spoke with the subject, Gregory Phillip Debusk, who told them a friend had paid his park permit.

When deputies checked up on Debusk, records showed he had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for being an escapee from the Colorado Department of Corrections.

Carter said Debusk was taken into custody without incident.

He was booked into the Mohave County Jail on a fugitive from justice felony warrant.

MCSO did not have information on when Debusk escaped from the Colorado prison and what he was being held for.
