The body of a man who drowned in the Colorado River Sunday night was located by Arizona rescue crews Monday morning.
The Bullhead City Fire Department Dive Team had been called out to the River at about 8:50 p.m. to search for a drowning victim who had reportedly dived into the river from the Nevada side, according to according to Public Information Officer Larry Tunforss of the Bullhead City Fire Department.
A search of the area produced no results Sunday night.
Monday at about 7:30 a.m., the Bullhead City Dispatch Center was informed by the Arizona Department of Public Safety Air Rescue Ranger that the victim's body was believed to have been spotted, according to Tunforss.
At 8:20 a.m., Dive Team members located the victim's body, which was turned over to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The victim's name has not been released.
