FLAGSTAFF, AZ – Police arrested three suspects on Wednesday in connection to multiple vehicle burglaries in the northern Flagstaff area.
Sasha Michael Hales, 18, Jordan Hunter Gee, 18, and a 15-year-old minor were reportedly arrested after being caught stealing items from cars in the 2000 block of Crescent.
According to authorities, a local resident caught one of the suspects after noticing the dome light to his or her vehicle was on, indicating that someone was inside of it.
The other two suspects were caught after police responded to a call from the victim and surrounded the scene, officials say.
Investigators reportedly found that other vehicles in the area had also been entered in, as well.
The suspects told police that they were “checking cars” to see if they were unlocked and took items of value ranging from iPods to cell phones, according to authorities.
Hales and Gee are currently being held in the Coconino County jail and the minor was transported to a juvenile detention facility. All of them face charges of burglary.
Flagstaff police encourage local residents to empty out all valuables from their cars and lock the doors to vehicles and homes in order to reduce the likelihood of being targeted by burglars.
