FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (AP) -- Flagstaff police say a Kykotsmovi man has been arrested for several offenses including impersonating a peace officer.

Police say a patrol officer saw two people arguing in a Flagstaff hotel parking lot early Saturday, ran their identification through a computer and discovered that 20-year-old Lamour Lyle Peshtony had a warrant for his arrest.

At about the same time, a patrol supervisor was taking a complaint about an alleged police officer who was at a party in an apartment community and drove a vehicle that matched the description of Peshtony's car.

The investigation revealed Peshtony had purported himself as a Flagstaff police officer and even showed a badge to detain people at the party.

They say Peshtony had red and blue lights equipped in his car and an emergency medical technician badge.

Police say Peshtony has been booked into Coconino County Jail on kidnapping, impersonating a peace officer, threatening and intimidating, trespassing and illegal consumption.
