FLAGSTAFF, AZ – Police are requesting the help of the public in identifying the driver in a hit and run case that left a pedestrian injured last week.
Police have described the suspect as a heavy set white male with short hair.
The vehicle he was driving is described as a white four door sedan, possibly a Mercury or Ford, with damage to the front bumper.
According to authorities, the suspect was yelling at pedestrians while in the area of Benton and Beaver Street around 2:25 a.m. on October 13.
The suspect reportedly almost struck a group of pedestrians on Beaver Street as he was turning westbound onto Benton Avenue.
Officials say that the suspect then turned the vehicle around and allegedly struck one of the pedestrians as he headed down Beaver Street. He then proceeded straight and
turned right, traveling the wrong way on a one-way street.
The pedestrian involved in the incident received serious injuries from the accident and the suspect remains at large.
Flagstaff police may issue a cash reward of up to $2,000 for any information leading to the arrest of the suspect involved with this incident.
