FLAGSTAFF, AZ – A report of a “peeping tom” has lead officers to the discovery of hundreds of child pornography images and videos at a Flagstaff man’s home, according to police on Friday.
Officers responded to a report of a "pepping tom" in the Ponderosa Parkway neighborhood on the night of August 27th, according to Lieutenant Ken Koch with the Flagstaff Police Department.
Witnesses described the suspect and the vehicle he was driving.
Acting on limited information and only a partial license plate number, officers were reportedly able to identify and locate the suspect vehicle and the suspect's residence.
Koch said 42-year-old David Levy Greenberg was contacted by police and found to match the description given by witnesses.
Despite witnesses not being able to positively identify Greenberg as the suspect, he was detained and taken to police offices for an interview, according to the report.
During the course of the interview, information was apparently obtained and evidence was found to support witness allegations of trespass and voyeurism.
Koch said marijuana, growing marijuana plants, and hundreds of child pornography images and videos along with a bottle of isoflurane, a liquid anesthetic much like ether, were found in Greeberg’s home.
Greenberg was booked into the Coconino County Jail for felony trespass and voyeurism at the time of the original investigation.
Additional charges are being pursued as this investigation continues, according to Koch.
Greenberg is not a registered sex offender and is being held on $200,000 cash bond.
Detectives have reportedly linked Greenberg to unrelated cases of voyeurism, one of which was reported more than a year ago.
Koch said investigators suspect Greenberg of actively engaging in this activity for the past several years and are seeking the public's help in identifying other possible victims.
If anyone feels they may have been a victim of voyeurism they are asked to contact the Flagstaff Police Department Criminal Investigations Division at 928-779-2201.
