The victim said the suspect approached her at 7:45 p.m. as she was getting into her car near 56th Street and Thomas Road.

According to the police report, the suspect threatened the woman with a small semi-auto pistol, and after taking the purse, ran to a nearby parked car and drove away.

The woman wasn't injured.

The suspect was last seen driving eastbound on Thomas Road, and is described as a Black or Hispanic man, between 25 and 30 years old, about 5 foot 9 inches tall, and 140 pounds with black hair in corn rows.

He was seen wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, and possibly driving a newer model black Dodge Stratus.
