SCOTTSDALE, AZ – Scottsdale firefighters responded to a near-drowning incident involving a young girl at a Scottsdale resort's pool Sunday.

It happened at about 11 a.m. at the Millennium Resort's pool located on Scottsdale Road, north of Indian Bend Road.

An employee called 9-1-1 after the girl, whose age was not released, had to be rescued from the pool, according to Capt. Shelly Jamison of the Phoenix Fire Department.

When emergency crews arrived, the girl was breathing on her own and was coughing, but was still transported to Phoenix Children's Hospital for precautionary reasons.
