Boy fights for life after being found in P.V. pool

PARADISE VALLEY, AZ -- A 3-year-old boy is in extremely critical condition after he was discovered in a Paradise Valley pool Sunday evening.
 
Shortly after 6 p.m., firefighters and paramedics were called out to a home in the 6200 block of East Quartz Mountain Road, near Scottsdale and Double Tree Ranch roads, according to Captain Hugh Chase of the Phoenix Fire Department.
 
Chase said the 3-year-old victim had been found in the pool, however, it is unknown how long he had been in the water.

He was transported to a Scottsdale hospital.

Initially, the Phoenix Fire Department told ABC15 News that the boy was not breathing and had no pulse.  However, shortly before 8 p.m. it was reported that the boy was still alive, but in extremely critical condition.
 
No other details have been released.
