FOUNTAIN HILLS, AZ -- Maricopa County Sheriff's deputies are looking for two gunmen that opened fire on a Fountain Hills neighborhood.
Neighbors first heard a single gunshot at 2:40 Wednesday morning. A short time later a second single shot was heard and then minutes later a slew of gunshots erupted.
"I heard the shots and looked out my window," said one neighbor who asked not be identified. "I saw two young men walking down the street with a gun."
Deputies found shell casings littered from one end of the street to the other.
A car and a pickup truck were hit.
"It's crazy, I got a knock on the door at five this morning from police telling me my truck was shot at." said William Morlan, who owns the red chevy truck that was hit. "I was shocked, they kept asking if I had made anyone mad, I said 'no, not that I know of.'"
Deputies say the gunfire appears to be random. They are now searching for the two suspects.
"I had my truck stolen in Phoenix and it didn't make me this mad," said Morlan. "I moved here because I thought Fountain Hills was safe."
