CAVE CREEK – Two political signs in Cave Creek were found vandalized Thursday, with the words “Kill Obama” spray painted across them, according to officials.
Maricopa County Sheriff’s deputies were notified of the vandalism at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.
The two signs, displaying political views on Cave Creek propositions 400, 401 and K3, had the words "Kill Obama" sprayed in purple paint across the front of them.
One sign was located in front of a business at 6610 E. Cave Creek Road, the other was up on the north side of Cave Creek Road west of Galloway Drive.
"This is a complete disgrace and gross act towards our president. My deputies are looking into all avenues of the incident, as it is a top priority," Sheriff Joe Arpaio said.
Officials say there are no known witnesses or suspects at this time.
