PD: Phoenix Police assist Georgia Sheriff's Office in arrest

ANTHEM, AZ – Phoenix Police assisted in arresting the subject of an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) investigation on Friday, according to officials.

The suspect, Jimmy Dean Matkins, was being investigated by the Forsyth County Georgia Sheriff’s Office for furnishing harmful images to minors over the internet, according to Officer Luis Samudio with the Phoenix Police Department.

The investigation led Phoenix Police investigators to the home of Matkins in Anthem, Arizona.

According to Samudio, Matkins was interviewed on Friday and made admissions to the offense.

Police say several items of evidence were seized at Matkins home.

Matkins was booked into the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office jail on one count of furnishing harmful images to a minor.
