ANTHEM, AZ -- Several Anthem residents woke up Thursday morning to find their cars had been buglarized.
"This morning when I came out to go to work I noticed my truck door was propped open and then I noticed inside was ransacked," said resident Christopher Goelz.
Phoenix police say five cars were broken near Anthem Way and 43rd Avenue.
"We went around the block and noticed all these different cars parked in the driveways and in the street had all been doors propped open, windows shattered, and trunks popped open," said Resident Heidi Snyder.
Personal items were stolen from inside the cars or from truck beds.
"CD's, personal weightlifting gear, shoes, etc," Goelz said.
Residents say they are frustrated by the amount of burglaries in the area.
"Its nothing new here," Snyder said.
Police are investigating but have no suspects so far.
