ANTHEM, AZ -- Crews battled a brush fire that broke out on land near Interstate 17 in the north Valley Wednesday afternoon.

According to Dennis Tyrrell of Daisy Mountain Fire Department, the Anthem Fire burned more than 10 acres near Daisy Mountain Drive, west of I-17.

The fire did not impact traffic on the I-17 and did not threaten any buildings because it was burning in the middle of vacant land, according to Tyrrell.

The cause of the fire is unknown.
