ANTHEM, AZ -- It may be Halloween, but if you drive through Anthem, it's starting to look a lot like Christmas.
Arizona's largest Christmas tree arrived on a 50 foot stretch trailer in the early morning hours after a two day trip from Shasta Trinity Forest on the California/Oregon border.
The 80 foot tall by 20 foot wide White fir tree needed a construction crane to lift it into place in the Outlets at Anthem's center court near the north side of the food pavilion.
Crews have a lot to do to get the huge pine ready for decorating.
Over the next two weeks a crew of four will shape it, plug it with 500 live fir branches and then coat it with 70 gallons of fire retardant.
When all that is finished, crews will hang 25,000 lights, ornaments and bows on its boughs. Once decorated the tree will weigh eight tons!
It may seem early, but that's a lot of work to do by November 21, when the community is expected to light it in a ceremony that will include Disney's Savannah Outen and Big Bang's Dueling Pianos
