I left out part of my comment regarding your question to Coach Ewan, you are implying "...that you DO have a video showing that our players did not get water for 40 minutes, yet you never say that you do nor do you ever show any video to support your statement. You are trying to create a negative view of our school with inneundos and flawed statements. Shame on you..."

This is yellow journalism at it's finest. In your interview with Coach Ewan you took comments out of context and created support for your unfounded accusations. By making the statement "What if we showed you video showing that your players did not get water for 40 minutes, what would you say?" you are implying Our football players are NEVER without water. They have access to water from the moment they step onto a practice field to the moment the walk off. I do not believe that you have video showing kids not getting water for 40 minutes. We have asked to see this video and have never been given the opportunity to view it. Our athletes are provided with water from our trainers before during and after every play and session and therefore, our kids are given water breaks every minute of every practice. Your lack of integrity in presenting the information you gleaned for this piece, makes me question all of the stories that you do. I am sorry that in your opiinion, what is considered news today must be manufactured in order to make it appealling to the masses.

My daughter atttends a local Charter school and is on the Jr Varsity cheer team. She cheered at her first game this past Sat. and by the end of the game half those girls were pale. Not to mention that the Cheer uniforms are polyester with long sleeves and turtle neck. If the coaches are supposed to supply water for the football players then I think that the Cheer coaches should do the same! And at least change the uniforms for football season where it is still 100 degrees.

Easy fix, switch the basketball season with the football season. Start football in November and basketball in September!

I hope the athletic director or principal of each violating school takes note of what 15 found and takes immediate action against the offending coaching staff. Even one death due to (easily avoidable) heat stroke or exhaustion is totally unacceptable.
