Don Stapley you have not been playing by the rules, Sheriff Joe has caught you red handed, now it`s time to pay the piper.

This guy is going to walk on all charges. This is going to look like that Sen. Stephens thing up in Alaska, the guy is guilty as hell but will walk because the law enforcement officials wanted political blood more than they wanted justice. Great job again Sheriff Hilton, let some more criminals go you idiot. Can anyone point out the last time someone was arrested on charges like these and attorneys were NOT consulted? You arrest on PC for drunk driving, weapons, drugs, violent crimes not stuff like this.

http://www.kpho.com/news/21041473/detail.html "A spokesman for Maricopa County Attorney Andrew Thomas would not say if formal charges had been filed. A deputy prosecutor who arrived late for Stapley's hearing said his office didn't plan to appear in the matter. Thomas passed the earlier case to the Yavapai County Attorney's Office after being accused of conflict of interest." So there is some confusion on exactly what they mean here, is this from last months indictment or yesterdays, either way you can see how a case can be moved to another county. I am real sure i heard them say that no one was interested in handling this case....maybe they did mean the previous case from last month. I could be wrong so don't hold me accountable, I'm just passin the info.

Well if it makes you guys feel any better, I don't ride public transportation. But the source came from either Fox news or 15 news on TV. I flip the channels so I can't recall which said it. I am not familiar with Arizona's process, but I know exactly what I heard. And yes you can have the case moved to another county due to a conflict of intrest.

Old Jo(k)e once again proven that not only is he fat AND stupid, he isn't qualified to be dogcatcher in any INTELLIGENT county in the country.

GuildenNL and Jonno, pill taken. My apologies to all.

bigj53, take a chill pill. Man you have a thin skin! I didn't take Jonno's post as a slam against anyone taking public transit, it was a turn of a phrase to infer that someone in public said it and there is nothing to back it up. I also checked cdjsu's posts and it appears that Jonno was commenting on both cdjsu's and stacyp's most recent post.

Hey Jonno, you made a good case, but a couple of things strike me as ignorant. First off, you state to Cjdsu that " Please when you state that "you heard" please tell us where you heard it. Some guy on the bus ride to work does not count as a credible source. I've read all of Cjdsu comments and don't see where this person got the info from someone riding the bus to work. Jonno, I ride the bus and train to work each day, I worry about money all the time, so I think your ignorant comment was unjustified and disrespectful. You must be real high up there in the world to think all people are below you and your intelligent world. Again though, most of your comments were on the mark, but then, what do I know since I ride the bus.

Jonno - 9/22/2009 3:29 AM
Cjdsu, ummm, another county cant take this on. the crimes took place in this county and he has been charged in Maricopa County Superior Court. And yes, the County Atty is going to prosecute the case. Did you not read that he was quoted in the story? Please when you site that "you heard" please tell us where you heard it. Some guy on the bus ride to work does not count as a credible source. Also to Stacy, just because you hate Arpaio, please don't assume that there is not a legitimate case here. There are laws about how political donations can be used and it seems to me that using donations to pay personal bills and to pad your bank account so you can qualify for a personal loan probably arent on the "ok list." I sure wish i had some magic account I could use right now and if this guy is using these funds for personal gains while people I know are worried about how to buy groceries this week, screw him and anyone that would defend him.
