We used AZEX Thermal Solutions last month for our little problem and they were extremely professional and we havent seen a bed bug since. Its definitely worth the cost considering we didnt have to throw away our furniture or be exposed to chemicals.

Our thoughts and our hearts go out to the bedbugs.

Per WIKIPEDIA: Heat can kill them if the house is sealed and raised to the temperature of 150 degrees. Good housekeeping is essential...One recent theory about bedbug reappearance involves potential geographic epicenters. Investigators have found three apparent United States epicenters at poultry facilities in Arkansas, Texas and Delaware. It was determined that workers in these facilities were the main spreaders of these bedbugs, unknowingly carrying them to their places of residence and elsewhere after leaving work…….. Bedbug populations in the United States have increased by 500 percent in the past few years…… (Could this be more of our illegal invaders? Yes) The cause of this resurgence is still uncertain, (They just won’t tell when it is illegals) but most believe it is related to increased international travel and the use of new pest-control methods that do not affect bedbugs. In the last few years, the use of baits rather than insecticide sprays is believed to have contributed to the increase. Hotels and motels are the worst places to go.

I want to add more on the story of bed bugs. I recently moved out of an apartment due to the infestation of bed bugs. The apartment complex would not pay for the treatment to get rid of them. I had to discard everything when I moved out. I have a 8 month old baby who's crib set was full of them. I had not brought in any new furniture or anything so I was confused as to where they came from. Turns out bed bugs can live in carpet for over a year without feeding which meant I had moved my family into an already infested apartment.

Could you do a story on homes infestd with bird mites and how to get rid of these parasites? Birdmites.org has a lot of information, but the professional exterminators we've dealt with in trying to eradicate our infestation have been clueless. It has affected my husband and I and our dog and cat. We have been trying to kill these things for over 4 months. Yahoo has a forum for people who are dealing with this plague and some of them report having to basically get rid of all of their belongings including their pets. We try to be careful, but we could be spreading this. It's a nightmare. If you type in parasite hell on you tube, there is the video diary of one sufferer. The doctors we have dealt with have been dismissive and so have the vets. They thought it was delusional parasistosis. I was persistent and returned to the same vet in a quest to get help for my pets, and he was able to see a parasite under the microscope that my husband showed him on his arm. It was a red bird mite. We live in Sun City and are on a fixed income. This is costing us lots. I even sent an e-mail to a researcher at ASU, but never got a reply. We tried abandonning our home for 3 weeks hoping to outlast the life cycle. An exterminator used commercial bug bombs on our house the night before we left. We bombed our cars. We washed our clothes in boiling water with borax and dried them for over an hour. We sprayed our suitcases with bug spray. Then the next day we again treated ourselves with sulfer ointment and set off more bombs before heading out the door. We treated our pets with lymdip and revolution and dropped them off at my sister's house(the vet assured us that after treatment with these methods our pets wouldn't transmit this and that the problem wouldn't travel.) and headed to California. After we checked into our room and were relaxing, we were bitten. We never got rid of them.We could be spreading this all over the valley. We need help.
