Looks to me there is ZERO outrage here by the Cititzens of Arizona, the tax payers of the State of Arizona, and the Satte Legislature that cut $143,000,000 of ADEQ budget the past three years. Just wait when property values plummet even more next to contaminated sites. At some sites, there is no responsible pety determined to exist and sites end up in a SUPERFUND type status for the state to clean them up. If state moneies are not cut, they we all can drink VOCs like the City of Scottsdale-Paridise Valley residents did when their water treatment facility failed in a WQARF area. We need more fundign fro cleanups, nor budget cuts.

Why are the dry cleaners not responsible for their mess??? I think some of those locations were the sites of some of the 'BIG DOGS' when the going was good. I say give them the bill.

Here is the plan: Use the ILLEGAL INVADERs now housed at the MCSD Tent City to clean up the mess. Put them all into stripes (which will begin to glow in the dark) for the duration. Put MCSD guards in Haz-Mat gear (of course). Send all material to Mexico as part of a hands-across-the-border NAFTA gift. Any ILLEGAL INVADER used in the above cleanup ( who returns to the US) will automatically glow and be easy to spot as they come back across. Please - be creative and help DHS and ICE with this serious issue. Immigration issues: 1-866-DHS-2CE

yeah, the good ol' boys and girls in the gov't don't want to do any of the hard work on behalf of people and our environment. it's all about big and small business and the money. they and the other so-called pillars don't give a hoot about poisoning the ground waters, or destroying the natural wildlife and ecosystems with the toxic pollution from the industries' that the businesses create. Superfund sites are A O.K. with those types of people because when they die the damage will have to be cleaned up by someone else, if at all.

Great story on an unacceptable practice. The Legislature needs to re-prioritize & get these sites cleaned up!
