Get a grip you need to open your eyes. Corruption exists and if you can't see it your blind and or callous. The media exposed these people to the world. The key phrase is after the bailout. If these executives used their own money why did they wait until after the bailout. If you don't have problem with this situation, next time Wall Street goes into a panic, let them dip into your bank account for a bailout.

I've been unable to earn a paycheck since Dec. '05 because I have been legally blind since then. It has taken me 2.5 yrs. to go thru the system & be declared permanently disabled in June '08. More than 5 months after my June court hearing, I still have not received any disability benefits, but AIG gets billions! This is disgusting. I'm so depressed.

I think most reasonable business persons understand the value of the word Seminar and especially for the reason AIG had the gathering...the BIG MISTAKE THEY MADE WAS NOT PAYING FOR IT OUT OF THEIR OWN POCKETS!!!

Did we all forget that we live in an area of the country that is heavily dependent on the resort industry? These companies are going to have meetings. Do we want to scare away every business from coming to the Phoenix area because we are hostile to business conferences. Let' not shoot ourselves in the foot. We already have a tough economy to deal with. We need every dollar for our resort and restaurant and retail businesses.

I belief that is DECEPTION! "They" Should be ordered to repay the money back on friverlous spending on events like that! Why, should the government payout to help bail out a corporation, and then turn it's back spend it FOOLISHLY and have a good time on the American Tax Payers! "Okay,....Something is wrong with this picture or maybe we should all stand in line with our hands out!" There needs to be strick guidelines, fines, penalties, etc. if the government is going to start bailing out corporations!

Yet another party - and again at taxpayer expense! Oh, yes, I forgot - the "real" cost to the AIG - read the taxpayers - is only about $24,000. If you have ever been to New York, you will know that AIG coporate headquarters is near the Brooklyn Bridge, which bridge, if you believe the $24,000 story, is also for sale - real cheap! Let's face it, this is just business as usual for AIG, except that this time, they are really bankrupt and are partying on someone else's money! AIG is a totally failed company, the failure being due to the greed and incompetence of its former CEOs Martin Sullivan and Robert Willumstand. Unfortunately, Mr. Liddy now appears to be cut from the same cloth! It is time to pull the plug on AIG, save as many tax dollars as possible and hopefully force the resignation of Mr. Liddy and the prosecution of Mr. Sullivan and Mr. Willumstad. General Motors has far greater value to this country than AIG and yet the government has no plans to save it.
