Do Not Call List would help stop those annoying telemarketers from calling during dinner, but many people are still getting calls.
Some are just your average telemarketers, annoying, but harmless. Other are flat out scams. Do you really expect a con artist to follow the Do Not Call List rules?
That’s where the website
CallerComplaints.com enters the picture. The site allows you to search for information on specific numbers used by telemarketers. It also lets you register public complaints.
Hundreds of thousands of angry phone owners with caller ID have used the site to; learn more about the types of calls being made, see the number of complaints listed for a certain number and make their own complaints.
It allows people to see scam trends, like the extended car warranty calls, far and away the most popular according to complaints from the last 30 days.
The number (800)168-4861 has the most complaints right now, 480 in the last month. When we called the number we got a recording saying our call could not be completed as dialed.
While the site may not stop the calls, it does show you the city they’re coming from and allows people to do the one thing they want to do most when the phone rings for these annoying calls… vent!
