MESA, AZ -- Arizona Senator John McCain is hosting two town hall meetings this weekend in Mesa and in Goodyear.
He is expected to talk about a variety of topics including health care reform and the war in Afghanistan.
In a recent commentary on CNN.com McCain said, "I believe the fight in Afghanistan is critical to our national security. Our goals there are achievable and success is worth the continued sacrifice."
His stance on health care reform has been that reform is needed and it would be irresponsible to do nothing, but he is firmly against a government run public insurance option.
The first meeting will take place Friday at 2pm at Mesa Central Christian Church, 933 N. Lindsay Road.
The second is Saturday at 10am at Skyway Church, 14900 W. Van Buren St., Goodyear.
