PHOENIX – City officials will be on hand Tuesday to help voters with information about Election Day and polling places.

Voters in Districts 3 and 6 will be electing City Council members at polls open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The voter information telephone line will open one hour before the polls do, at 5 a.m., and run until 7 p.m.

The number is 602-261-VOTE (8683) or TTY 602-534-2737.

Officials remind residents that every voter is required to show proof of identity at the polling place to receive a ballot.

Voters who do not present acceptable identification may vote a provisional ballot at the polls, but may be required to present acceptable identification to an election official by 5 p.m. on the Friday after the election.

Anyone who received an early ballot by mail, but have not yet returned the ballot, can drop it off at any polling place or at City Hall, located at 200 W. Washington.

For more information about the election, visit the City of Phoenix's web site.
