PHOENIX – About 300 Valley eighth-graders from several different school districts received a lesson in law Friday.
The students had the opportunity to re-enact a U.S. Supreme Court decision in a courtroom at the Sandra Day O`Connor Courthouse.
The students were given different roles such as, judges, jurors, attorneys and witnesses to act out.
Taylor, a student at McKemy Middle School in Tempe said, "I think if I look at it and if I like it, I might think about going into law."
The event was part of the court works program, which is designed to introduce young people to the judicial system.
