As a rail emloyee, I want this to happen, because it means jobs to rail employees here in AZ. Rail cars are x-rayed & inspected by customs officials before entering the US. No it's not perfect, but commerce needs to flow. Container ships wait in line off the coast of Longbeach(when economic times are good/normal) to unload containers that go straight to the East coast to be put on another ship. (cheaper than going around the Cape of Good Hope, because they can't fit through Panama canal). What you won't have is a bunch of prima donna overpaid crane operator crybaby docworkers. Kalishnacov- I think the idea is to keep Longbeach port going, they have the demand, they just don't have enough infrastructure in place to handle it. With double track already laid in place (75%completed) between El Paso & Los Angeles, the rail industry has been working toward this for some time now.

Just what we need, another more economic way for the cartels to ship drug and human cargo into the US.

Because IM4US,much like the NAFTA treaty and the trucking industry(more about giving huge chunks of American industry to foreign nations,than about trade),this will work itself out to cost American Jobs in RR industry,that already have been disappearing,and lots more opportunities for smuggling of both human and otherwise contraband to the great detriment of The soveriegn United States Of America,yet to the benefit of corperations and naturally the Current and future administrations of the Government that is bent on making Americans slaves and selling out this countys soverignty along with this and future generations of American citizens for a place in the new world order.TAKE IT BACK PEOPLE!
