A man who authorities claim solicited sexual favors from a 6-year-old girl in exchange for money has been arrested.
Authorities say 23-year-old David Shipman of Sierra Vista has been booked into the Cochise County jail on suspicion of solicitation for child molestation.
Sierra Vista police say Shipman was invited by the girl's father to have dinner with the family on March 15 and Shipman reportedly made the offer to the father.
The man kicked Shipman out of the house and reported the incident to police.
Shipman was taken into custody Tuesday.
Police say Shipman is not a registered sex offender but may possibly suffer from unspecified mental problems.
