TUCSON, AZ -- The U.S. Secretary of Education is in Arizona meeting with educators and elected officials.

Arne Duncan is scheduled to visit two southern Arizona schools Monday morning during his "Listening and Learning" tour.

Duncan will be joined by Congressman Raul Grijalva at Ochoa Elementary School in Tucson and by Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick at Palo Verde Elementary School in Casa Grande.

Duncan is expected to discuss reauthorizing the No Child Left Behind Act, English learning skills, teacher quality and turning around underperforming schools.

The secretary recently told educators that $24.8 billion in federal funds, available annually to the nation's schools, should support reforms and prepare students for success in college and their future careers.
