Slavin Gulch Fire destroys 100 acres in southeastern AZ

DOUGLAS, AZ – Firefighters made significant progress Monday in battling a wildfire in southeastern Arizona.
 
The Slavin Gulch Fire located in the Douglas Ranger District in the Coronado National Forest was first reported Sunday.
 
It's destroyed at least 100 acres and was 90 percent contained as of Monday, according to a USDA Forest Service press release.
 
The fire is in a rocky terrain with a variety of grass and brush.
 
There are no reports of any injuries and the fire is not threatening any structures.
 
The cause remains under investigation.
