TUCSON, AZ – A woman reportedly pled guilty on Monday to falsifying information on a federal document to a government agency and could face up to five years in prison.

Nora Liliana Skinner-Reyes, 36, of Rio Rico, worked for the U.S. Customs and Border Protection in Nogales as a paralegal specialist.

Reyes apparently gave false information on a Declaration for Federal Employment document for the U.S. Customs agency.

The document was reportedly apart of an employee security clearance re-certification interview conducted by Reyes’ employer.

According to authorities, Reyes gave false information regarding her previous work experience with her former job at Bank of America.

Bank of America had investigated Reyes in relation to her involvement in the theft of bank funds and terminated her as a result, officials say.

Reyes pled guilty to one felony count of providing a false document to a government agency and could face either a $250,000 fine or 5 years in federal prison; possibly both.
Reyes will be sentenced in February of 2010.
