TUCSON, AZ -- U.S. Border Patrol agents in Southern Arizona have seized more than 300 pounds of marijuana, worth nearly $250,000 dollars, within the past two days.
The first bust happened Monday, just west of Douglas, where 132-pounds of pot were being loaded into a pick-up truck.
Agents eventually caught up with the driver and arrested him.
Early Wednesday, agents patrolling an area near Cucklebur tried to pull over a truck driving without its lights on.
When the driver refused to stop, agents were reportedly forced to use a tire deflation device.
The occupants of the vehicle apparently escaped.
Agents were able to recover four backpacks filled with 179 pounds of marijuana.
