U.S. Border Patrol agents have made a $1.5 million pot bust west of Nogales on Sunday after being tipped off by surveillance technology.
Agents reportedly surprised a group of men hauling bundles of marijuana into the U.S., along a remote area of the border.
Once spotted, then men apparently ran back into Mexico.
Agents were able to seize nearly 2,000 pounds of pot.
In the first seven months of Fiscal Year 2009, the Tucson Sector has seized a record-breaking 700,000 pounds of marijuana.
