NOGALES, AZ -- U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents say they seized more than 242 pounds of marijuana in three separate incidents at the Nogales port of entry.
Agents became suspicious of a 47-year-old Hermosillo, Mexico, man Saturday morning during routine questioning, and used a drug-sniffing dog on his pickup truck. Following the dog's alert, agents found a compartment with about 148 pounds of marijuana.
The second seizure came Saturday evening when officers inspected a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old and found 45 pounds of marijuana hidden in the car's doors.
They seized nearly 50 pounds of marijuana hidden in the roof of a car driven by a 34-year-old man Saturday night.
All three drivers were arrested.
