MARICOPA, AZ -- Police have arrested five teens after they allegedly stole thousands of dollars worth of discs from a video game store two weeks ago.
Maricopa Police Sgt. Stephen Judd said Wednesday that around 2 a.m. on August 3 suspects used a large rock to break a front window of DVD & Game Depot on W. Honeycutt in Maricopa.
After taking the game discs the suspects fled the area.
Judd said officers were able to collect several pieces of evidence, including high quality surveillance video from the store's security system.
The five suspects were identified and they were arrested August 11. All were teenage males, between the ages of 15 and 17.
According to police, three of the suspects were found to be on probation for similar crimes.
Their names are not being released because they are juveniles.
Judd said over $1,800 in stolen merchandise was recovered and the suspects were booked into the Pinal County Juvenile facility on multiple charges of burglary, theft and criminal damage.
