MARICOPA, AZ -- Police have released a sketch of a suspect they are searching for in a sexual assault which happened near a park in Maricopa last Saturday.
Maricopa Police Sgt. Stephen Judd said the assault occurred about 1 a.m. near Pacana Park, at a construction site.
The victim, a 14-year-old female, described the suspect as a Black male in his mid-30s, 5 feet 9 inches tall, about 200 pounds with short black hair. He was said to be unshaven at the time of the incident and may have a scar on the right side of his face.
The suspect vehicle was described as a full size gold SUV with smoke-colored lens covers over the tail lights and very bright blue head lights. The vehicle also had a rosary hanging from a rear view mirror and a forward-facing child restraint seat.

Judd also said the Maricopa Police Department reminds the public that curfew laws are in effect in the City of Maricopa for the safety of Maricopa's youth.
Curfew is 10 p.m., everyday of the week, for all juveniles ages 15 and younger. For juveniles ages 16 and older, curfew is midnight every day of the week.
