Domino’s Pizza and
Maricopa Fire Department surprised two families with a pie and some safety tips Friday night.
Each family was happy to have the firefighters come in their homes and check the smoke detectors and discuss fire safety tips.
Firefighters found some smoke detectors in need of new batteries and replaced them for the residents.
The last pizza of the night went to Summer and Dave Goodrich. The Goodrichs are expecting their first child soon and were happy to have the firefighters check over their home.
"It's a great feeling to know that our fire department and Domino's Pizza is reaching-out and caring for us," said Summer. "My family really appreciates it."
The fire department will be delivering two more pizzas Sunday night.
